POST BASIC SPECIALIZED NURSING PROGRAMS 2007

Applications are invited from private candidates for admission in College of Nursing, PIMS, G-8/3, Islamabad in the following one year Post Basic Specialized Nursing educational programs for the entry 2007 :-

1. Anesthesia 2. Community Health
3. Intensive / Coronary Care Unit 4. Operation Theatre
5. Pediatrics 6. Psychiatric Nursing
7. Ward Administration 8. Teaching Administration.
9. Gynae / Obstetric

? The Candidates who fulfill the following conditions may apply:-

i. 03 years General Nursing diploma.
ii. 01. Year Midwifery Diploma / 01 year any specialized Diploma for Male Nurses for admission in Ward Administration course.
iii. Current registration with the Pakistan Nursing Council.
iv. Minimum 02 years of clinical experience in a recognized hospital, preferably in the field in which the candidate is going to join.
v. 03 years experience will be required for admission in Ward Administration course.
vi. For admission in Teaching Administration course the candidates should possess diploma in Ward Administration course and should have 60% academic achievement of Ward Administration course.
vii. Medical fitness certificate.
viii. Proficiency in English reading, writing and speaking.
ix. Departmental candidates should apply through proper channel.

Selection will be made on merit on all Pakistan basis regardless of race, creed, religion, gender, age, sex and marital status. Prospectus available from Student Section, College of Nursing, PIMS G-8/3, Islamabad on payment @ Rs. 100/- each. Duly completed forms along with the bio-data and attested copies of testimonials should be sent to the Principal, College of Nursing, PIMS G-8/3, Islamabad by 25th November 2006.

Written test will be held on 4th December 2006 (Monday) at 0830 hrs at College of Nursing , PIMS Islamabad and result will be announced on the same day. Only successful candidates will be allowed to appear for interviews on 5th December2006 (Tuesday ) at 0830 hrs onwards.

No further call letter will be issued for interviews. Incomplete and photo copied forms will not be entertained. Applicants should bring with them the original diplomas, registrations and National Identity card. No TA/DA will be admissible.
